Ingredients
- (4 pounds of SNF chicken bones or beef soup bones, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (apple cider vinegar helps break down the collagen and makes it more abundant in the broth) optional seasoning : salt/pepper, turmeric, bay leaves, rosemary, parsley , ) Bone Broth
- Beef Soup Bones
- Chicken Bones
- (you may also add chicken feet for more collagen) Chicken Feet
Directions
- Place your bones in a large crockpot .
- Cover your bones with water add apple cider vinegar and this is when you may add your seasonings.
- Heat on high till it comes to a boil then turn back to low to simmer.
- Continue to cook on low heat. For Chicken bones cook 24 hours and for beef bones cook 24-48 hours.
- Low and slow cook time is good to bring all the nutrients out of the bones.
- Remove bones from pot. Strain broth through a stainless steel strainer into a stainless steel bowl.
- Be careful for this is hot broth!
- Let cool in large bowl .Pour into freezer containers to freeze till ready to use.
